The Red Shoulder Document: Roots of Ambition (1988) is the prequel OVA that deepens understanding of Chirico Cuvie’s military background and the conspiracy he uncovers in Armored Trooper VOTOMS. It explores the Red Shoulder Battalion and Chirico’s elite past. Pailsen Files (2007–2008) later served as an extended prequel with the original creative team.
