New Tetsujin 28

New Tetsujin 28 is a colour remake of the original Tetsujin 28-go anime, produced for television in 1980–1981. It refreshes the designs of Tetsujin 28, Shotaro Kaneda, and recurring villains for a new audience while retaining the remote-controlled giant robot premise and post-war themes.

The series helped keep the franchise relevant in an era when colour television and more dynamic animation had become the standard for children’s programming.
