MG Gundam Vidar

MG Gundam Vidar gives the Iron-Blooded Orphans Gundam Frames their next Master Grade: the machine that hides Gaelio Bauduin’s return — a rebuilt Gundam Kimaris Trooper wearing a false identity.

Design and features

The lore is baked into the engineering. Salvaged after Edmonton on Rustal Elion’s orders, the Kimaris was repaired, re-armoured, and deliberately disguised: a third Ahab Reactor on the backpack masks the frame’s original resonance signature, and the silhouette was changed enough that no database would flag it as a Gundam. The MG models this with a full inner Gundam Frame under the redesigned armour, the extra reactor housing, and the sinister single-eye “mask” aesthetic that made the Vidar one of IBO’s most striking designs.

Weapons

The Burst Saber is built for thrusting — its blade detaches and detonates inside the target, with spare blades stored on the side armour. Foot-mounted Hunter’s Edge blades extend from toes and heels with enough force to pierce Nanolaminate Armor, the handgun stows in the front skirt, and Gjallarhorn’s trial rifle covers close-to-mid range.

Who it’s for

IBO fans and inner-frame enthusiasts — the Gundam Frame remains one of MG’s best skeletons, and the Vidar’s armour gimmicks make it a more involved build than its Barbatos siblings.
