Kogawa Tomonori (古川利信, Kogawa Tomonori) is a Japanese animation director and animator who contributed to Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. Working under director Tomino Yoshiyuki, Kogawa helped execute the series’ animation and visual presentation.1

Career

Kogawa served as an animation director on Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, supervising the execution of key episodes and making sure the animation met the studio’s standards.1

Animation direction

Working within the series’ animation team, he coordinated with fellow directors, preserved the integrity of Kitazume Hiroyuki’s character designs, and helped define the show’s visual rhythm from week to week.2

Significance

His contributions ensured that Gundam ZZ sustained consistent animation quality, translating Tomino Yoshiyuki’s direction into fluid character acting and dynamic mecha sequences that advanced the franchise’s visual evolution.2
