Kawamori Shōji (河森 正治, Kawamori Shōji, born 20 February 1960) is a Japanese mecha designer, character designer, and director best known as creator of the Macross franchise. His work on Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory as character designer brought his distinctive aesthetic to the Universal Century timeline.

Kawamori served as character designer for Stardust Memory, creating designs for Kou Uraki, Anavel Gato, Nina Purpleton, and other characters. His design work emphasized realistic military character aesthetics appropriate for the OVA’s serious tone.
