The Gurren Lagann compilation films condense Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and add new animation: Gurren Lagann the Movie: Childhood’s End (2008) covers the first half, and Gurren Lagann the Movie: The Lights in the Sky are Stars (2009) the second, with a heightened climax.
