The Gilgamesh Confederation is one of two superpowers in the Astragius Galaxy in Armored Trooper VOTOMS. It fights a century-long war against the Balarant Union. Chirico Cuvie was a Red Shoulder Battalion pilot for Gilgamesh before the conspiracy that drives the series.
