Getter Robo (mecha)
Getter Robo is the combining humanoid combat robot in the Getter Robo franchise. Powered by Getter Rays, it requires three pilots working in harmony to combine their individual aircraft into three distinct forms: Getter-1 for aerial combat, Getter-2 for land operations, and Getter-3 for underwater warfare. Created by Ken Ishikawa and Go Nagai (1974); the concept established the combining mecha template. The Shin Getter Robo and later units embody increasingly cosmic power. Pilots include Ryoma Nagare, Hayato Jin, and Musashi Tomoe.
