The Economic Warfare Campaign is the storyline in the Gasaraki franchise that depicts manipulation of global grain markets and currency speculation as geopolitical weapons. Economic warfare plays a central role in the series’ political framework, integrated with the Gowa family’s interests and the Belgistan Crisis. The series examined real-world 1990s concerns about arms trading and the military–industrial complex.
