Dakar

Dakar (ダカール, Dakāru) was a city on Earth serving as site for Earth Federation assembly meetings during the Universal Century. Dakar became historically significant during the Gryps Conflict as location where Quattro Bajeena delivered his famous televised speech exposing the Titans’ atrocities, fundamentally shifting the war’s political landscape.¹

Federation Assembly Site

Dakar served as meeting location for Earth Federation assembly sessions where political leadership gathered to discuss policy and oversight of military operations. The city’s role as assembly site made it politically significant location within Federation governance structure.²

Battle of Dakar

During the Battle of Dakar, the city became site of pivotal political and military confrontation. AEUG forces, supported by Karaba ground units, enabled Quattro to broadcast his speech globally, exposing Titans’ war crimes to the Federation assembly and public.¹

The engagement combined political warfare with military action - whilst Quattro spoke, intense combat occurred as Titans attempted to stop the broadcast. AEUG’s successful protection of the transmission allowed Quattro’s message to reach audiences, shifting public opinion decisively against the Titans.¹
