Arlette Almage
Former Flanagan Institute test subject turned mobile suit engineer who works for Char Aznable and later investigates Axis in Mobile Suit Gundam: Twilight AXIS.
Arlette Almage (アルレット・アルマージュ) is a mobile suit engineer and former test subject who appears in Mobile Suit Gundam: Twilight AXIS, a side story set in UC 0096 after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. Raised in the Flanagan Institute as a numbered child known only as “Seven”, she was subjected to inhumane Newtype experiments and only spared from elimination when her exceptional mechanical aptitude caught the attention of Char Aznable, who recruited her as his personal mechanic.
Arlette later worked at the Maharaja Khan Memorial Research Institute, supporting test pilot Danton Hyleg and developing a deep attachment to Char as both commander and symbol. Following the failure of Char’s Neo Zeon and the “Axis Shock”, she went into hiding with Danton on Side 6, running a small dry-cleaning business whilst living under an assumed quiet life. In UC 0096 she is approached by Mehmet Merca of the Earth Federation Forces and joins an expedition to the abandoned asteroid fortress Axis, seeking both to uncover the truth behind Char’s disappearance and to confront the legacy of the wars that shaped her life.
