The Vulcan Armoured Car was an armoured half track mass produced by the Earth Federation.
History
Before the advent of mobile weapons warfare, the Earth Federation relied on conventional weapons. The Vulcan Armoured Car was created to enable the use of vulcan cannons in the battlefield before mobile suits became the mainstay in the Federation forces.
When the Federation started rolling out mass-produced mobile suits, these had vulcan cannons mounted. Their greater agility and fire-power made the Vulcan Armoured Cars obsolete.
Design
The Vulcan Armoured Car was a support unit with a large vulcan cannon mounted on its top. The 60 mm vulcan gun was used for close range anti-aircraft and anti-tank attacks.
The vehicle had two front wheels and a pair of caterpillar tracks in the rear. It required at least two crew, a driver and a gunner.
